CASA Function: setRandomParameters
Choose undetermined parameters at random.
Calling Sequence:
- B := setRandomParameters(A)
- B := setRandomParameters(A,rng)
Parameters:
- A : algset
-
- rng : integer..integer
- Range in which the parameters will be chosen.
Result:
- B : algset
-
Description:
- The function returns a single algebraic set from the system of sets A containing parameters. The result is obtained by setting undetermined parameters to random values in rng (default is -10..10). If an unevaluated name is specified, it is assigned the set of selected values - The standard Maple function rand is used to select random values.
Examples:
> a:=passGenCurve(5,[[[0,1,0],2],[[0,0,1],3],[[1,1,-1],2]],u,[x,y,z]);
> setRandomParameters(a);
