CASA Function: mkParaAlgSet
Creates an algebraic set in parametric representation
Calling Sequence:
- A := mkParaAlgSet(repr,v)
- A := mkParaAlgSet(repr,v,attr)
Parameters:
- repr : list(ratpoly(CasaCoeffType,v))
- list of rational functions
- v : list(name)
-
- attr : list(equation)
-
Result:
- A : algset("para")
- An algebraic set in parametric representation.
Description:
- The function creates an algebraic set in parametric representation. It takes as its first argument a list of rational functions which parametrize the algebraic set, whose common zeros define the algebraic set.
- Its second argument is the list of variables used as indeterminates in the algebraic set.
- The third, optional argument may be used to specify initial attributes of the algebraic set.
Examples:
> A := mkParaAlgSet([s^2/(s^2-1),(s^2-1)/(s^2+1)],[s]);
