Austrian Ministery of Science and Research in the frame of ESPRIT III.
Goals
This project is a cooperation of several research groups in Europe
with expertise in computer algebra in general and solution of systems
of polynomial equations in particular. A software package CARDANO is
to be developed for solving systems of algebraic equations by the
currently best known methods. These include Gröbner bases,
characteristic sets, multi-variate resultants. In addition to this
main goal it is also intended to further the theoretic advance of
algorithms in this area.
