Coordinating Education Sessions
Our goal is to enable computer-supported education sessions where the
lecturer can utilize new technologies in order to
- improve the didactical value of the presentation by integrating computer
programs developed for the particular education domain (like e.g. Wolfram
Research's Mathematica [Wol96]
[Wol97] in mathematical education),
- allow the participation of non-local users via wide-area computer
networks (via generally available Internet infrastructure or via connections
especially established for the session).
There may be other motivations as well but in the end most of them can be
reduced to one or both of the above (e.g. supporting the participation of
physically handicapped users).
