The Treaty, Article 1:

The scientific cooperation between the two partners in the treaty extends to all areas of academic teaching and research pursued at the two institutes. The various areas of cooperation as well as goals, conditions and procedures of execution of each project are determined by mutual agreement. Currently there is a strong mutual interest in the area of algorithmic and computational aspects of nonlinear science, theory of integrable systems and discrete wave turbulence theory. In particular, creation and development of the on-line interactive Encyclopedia on integrable systems ALISA is in planning phase.
