Type Equivalence

• Structure equivalence.

  Two variables are type-equivalent if they have identical storage structures.

• Occurence equivalence (name equivalence).

  Two variables are type-equivalent if they are defined with the same occurence of a type expression.

Structure equivalence more natural in denotational semantics.
